Grade Armchair No. 1-2

Grade Chair No. 1
Designed in 2024, the Grade Armchair takes its name–and form– from the Saluda Grade, the steepest standard-gauge railroad incline in the country. The chair’s swooping, bent laminated arms trace that same iconic slope.

Grade Chair No. 2
The first version sat unchanged for two years before a series of intentional refinements pushed the design in to a more sculptural direction. The updated version features shaped spindles, steam-bent arms, and a properly upholstered seat.
