Cove Creek No. 1

First designed in 2024, the Cove Creek series began with a line drawing of the back frame—two bodies of water merging into one.

No. 1 in the series was purely conceptual. I wanted to create a sculptural chair and after building, I knew that several revisions needed to be made to improve the base design.

Cove Creek No. 2

No. 2 in this series was built with a seamless sculptural chair assembly for the rear legs and back frame. Built from solid cherry with a carved seat, this iteration refined the whole back half of the chair, setting the stage for No. 3 to perfect the final seating angle.

Cove Creek No. 3

No. 3 in this series is the final iteration that was redesigned slightly to improve seating comfort. The back frame has a more generous curve and the seat pan has been widened and shaped for ergonomic comfort. To round out the improvements, this mid-back dining chair has a more robust frame, while maintaining the same balance.
